OCEANSIDE MUSEUM OF ART
Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) is a cultural jewel located in downtown Oceanside with a view of the Pacific Ocean and the historic Oceanside Pier. The museum presents provocative, contemporary exhibitions from the region and around the world. OMA offers art instruction at the OMA School of Art, concerts, films, lectures, docent tours, and the OMA Museum Store. Exhibitions showcase the finest art of the southern California region from landscape paintings to studio furniture, neon sculpture, art quilts, and architectural glass. Current exhibitions include; Character and Creature Designs of Neville Page (through August 15), Defying Expectations: Contemporary Native American Art from San Diego County (through December 12), Intimate Views: West Coast Drawing (through August 13) and Painting World War II: The California Watercolor Artists (through October 3).
