Mastro's and In the Heights
On Wednesday, August 4, concierges and their guests were invited to an outstanding
dinner and a performance event. Mastro's Steakhouse hosted a delicious opening reception,
with a seafood tower of crab claws, oysters on the half shell and jumbo shrimp; tray-passed
bites of ahi tuna tartare, tomato mozzarella bocaccino and chicken with herbed brie; and warm
butter cake and chocolate-covered strawberries for dessert. The whole Mastro's team was in
attendance, including CEO Tom Heymann, General Manager Peter Papagelis, Senior VP Debbie Bohnett
and Emily McFarland, the director of events, as well as Miguel Rodriguez and Lisa Oliveira from
Mastro's Ocean Club. Four lucky concierges each won a $100 gift card for the restaurant. Before
heading over to the Orange County Performing Arts Center, representatives Jonathan Vietze and
Kelly Fullerton handed out gift bags with an In the Heights CD and a program for the upcoming
threesixty theater production of Peter Pan. Then it was time for the main event! At 7:30 sharp
the spotlight was on New York City's Washington Heights, sharing an uplifting story of love, loss
and chasing your dreams.
